ISO measures the sensitivity of the image sensor,use lowest possible iso.
Higher ISO settings are generally used in darker situations to get faster shutter speeds (for example an indoor sports event when you want to freeze the action in lower light) – however the cost is noisier shots
100 ISO is generally accepted as ‘normal’ and will give you lovely crisp shots (little noise/grain).
Use Higer iso if : in dark situation

Sketchup has faces only no volumes.

Repeating command eg push , pull , offset => just double click others after the first command.

Advanced copy => copy first one , then use 3x to repeat it three times, 5/ to insert with equal spacing in between.

scaling => scale and pull to another side with scale 1 OR flip it

copying => press ctrl with move/copy command.

groups and components=> if one component is modified all are modified. , not in case of groups.

triple click => select all related faces.

FOLLOW ME:

path need not touch the extrusion or be perpendicular to it , its automatically handled.

in case of complex path , select the path first then use the followme tool.eg a complex pipe

My Hectic first day on programming gin asp.net 4.0

Hmm Asp.net … Good went crazy hell big giant full of all from every where !

All I was trying to do was create a login page n asp.net so proudly sits there saying its very easy in asp.net 4.0 ,just use the login control... and if you dont want to use the default database well implement MembershipProvider (Interface) ... what more some day on u can even use live login to authenticate…. humm

My nerves twitch ... day one i will be doing so much :) but :( no one told me (form MSDN)that in web application the App_Code folder is actually App_Localresources folder !!!! pheew n I had to spend 5 hours finding that !!!! :( but got it finally :)

Put a class in App_Localresources folder and implemented System.Web.Security.MembershipProvider ... humm :) now what its still not working :(

Finally gave fully qualified name with namespace in the Web.config file inside the system.web node

Analog audio, e.g. sound, is a waveform. Waves of air pressure, or captured by a microphone to make an electrical signal representing the waveform.

Digital audio is an approximation made by measuring - sampling - the waveform at regular intervals. So the 'Sampling Rate' is how often the wave is measured.

Music reproduction equipment attempt to handle a range of audio frequencies from 20hz to 20,000 hz. To represent a sound you need a sampling rate at least double the frequency. Compact disc sampling is 44,100 Hz, Digital Audio Tape sampling is 48,000 Hz and are thus capable of representing 20,000 Hz signals.

A musical note is tuned on its basic frequency - its fundamental frequency. But each note has higher frequency harmonics or overtones typically multiples of the fundamental frequency.

A concert piano has notes ranging from 27 to 4,000 Hz. Human voice ranges from 80 to 1,000 Hz. But the fidelity of the sound includes capturing many of those higher harmonic frequencies as well. So you want to capture frequencies 4 times higher than the fundamental up to about 16,000 Hz which is the limit of the ears of most adults.

A telephone has a sampling rate of 8,000 Hz and thus handles sound frequencies up to 4,000 Hz. FM radio handles sound frequencies up to 15,000 Hz.

For a speech, a sampling rate of 8,000, 11,025 or 12,000 Hz should be fine. Further, the sound can be recorded as one channel Mono as opposed to Stereo for further space savings.

For singing, you want a higher sampling rate like 16,000, 22,050 or 24,000.

For instrumental music, or movie soundtracks you want at least 32,000 Hz sampling or the 44,100 or 48,000 standards.

Bit-rate, a number like 128Kb, is a different concept altogether.

A CD stores music uncompressed at a sampling rate of 44,100 Hz; a sample size of 16 bits and in stereo - 2 channels. The bitrate is 44,100 X 16 X 2 = 1,411,200 bits per second.

MP3 encoders vary in quality, but generally can produce a fair-quality representation of CD music using 128kb/s (11:1 compression ratio) and a very good representation at 320kb/s (4.4:1 compression ratio). AAC compression can produce equivalent quality with only 3/4 of the bits, so a 96kb (14.7:1) AAC file with the quality of a 128kb MP3.

The MPEG standards specify a list of bitrates, and all players should be able to handle all of them. Some MP3 encoders will allow non-standard bitrates that can make smaller files with adequate quality, but for compatability your bitrates should be on this list: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 144, 160, 192, 224, 256, 320 kb/s

Standard sampling rates are: 8,000; 11,025; 12,000; 16,000; 22,050; 24,000; 32,000; 44,100; 48,000 samples per second (Hz)

Here are some typical sampling rates, their uncompressed sizes and standard mp3 bitrates that correspond to fair and very good compression ratios:

Some Basics : There are three types of variables ;

1.Nominal: A variable can be treated as nominal when its values represent categories with no intrinsic ranking

2.Ordinal: A variable can be treated as ordinal when its values represent categories with some intrinsic ranking.

Automation (Syntax editor is great) : It can be used to create edit and run (automate) spss commands and hence very useful to us.

It is in File> New > Syntax editor

Every thing between * and . is comment

Two commands that you can use to create numeric variables are compute and if.

eg: compute newvar1 = num1.
      compute newvar = 0.
      if num1 = 20 newvar = 1.
      if num1 ge 50 or num2 le 15 newvar = 2.

Just click the paste where ever found to get the syntax within.

Recoding (Transfer>Recode): The values or range of values can be recoded to some other value in same or different variable according to some rule.

Computing (Transfer>Compute): Similar to recode the number values can be calculated upon to get another column of data.

Filter (Data>Filter): It can be used to use particular datum only in the analysis.

Export : Data /Outputs can be easily imported / exported easily to excel /Access etc.

Merging Files (Data >Merge > Addcase or Addvariable: Add case is used to append the data while addvariable is used to add more variables in reference to a common variable.

Analysis :

Analyze >Tables>Custom Tables
Analyze >Descriptive statics>Frequencies.

A mental hospital was critically overcrowded. The doctor decides to get all the patients seated in one large room to conduct a test to see how many they discharge that day.

There was a mad rush for the door with the patients scratching a clawing at the door and the handle.

A Doctor gets taken short up in the middle of the night and finds his toilet is completely blocked.
He says to his wife, "I'm going to have to call a plumber."

An 86-year-old man walked into a crowded doctor's office. As he approached the desk, the receptionist said, "Yes sir, what are you seeing the doctor for today?"

"I can't piss out of it, the man replied."

The wife stops. "Why do you think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts every day will make my breasts grow over the years?"

He lived. And with a great deal of therapy, may even walk again...

Newlyweds, Tim and Nancy, spent their wedding night at a hotel.
The following morning, Nancy's closest friend, Jennifer, came over and asked them how their wedding night went.

Today I Plan to go back to Pune.I went to a near by southIndian Temple.Its was quite a good one with so may Statues and so many Art works and The Temple was quite a unique of what I have seen till now.
Then went for a breakfast,I had a masala dosa .I could not believe that masala dosa could be so tasty,They serve it in a leaf and taste was simply the best.

Today went to the Matrina beach ,We take a local train to Chepauk MRTS station for that form Saitapet.The beach was quite a big one there I spent some time and then bought some sea shell Items ,After that I went to book the train ticket at the Mambalam station ,There was a large que for the ticket,however there was no tiket available till 1 of july so I went to chennai central for a tourist reservation .We go to the Chennai central from the Park station.The cennai central tourist ticketing officer was very much unhelpfull full of tension and I dont know what else ,She said that we need a bonafied certificate stating that we are tourist ,I dont know of any one who she didnt had a argument with.Even if all documents are there she would say that we need to pay in dollar what the F%$#.

Eventually I booked the ticket for 29 night with 12 waiting list.Then I came back to my Manson SRK manson at the Saitapet,Bazar Road.I bought a mango on the way back .The mango was very very tasty ,I think to have more tomorrow!

Chennai Visit

Today I came to chennai through Spice jet; Hem bought me a ticket for that . The journey was quite fine,I had a small quarell with the rickshow driver becasuse he was charging me more (But I resent this after reaching Chennai where situation is worst,In chennai they will charge you minimum 100rs even for 5 km!)

The spice jet service was fine except that unlike other airlines here we have to buy even snacks ,thankgod they didnt charge for water.I dont know why they dont provide cotton balls and sweets in India because its vital for ear problem ... my ear started paning highly on take off and landing.The duration of flight was 1 hr 45 min so I slept during the flight ,I was alone in my row of three seats.

I took a mid night flight ,Pune looked quite beautiful in the night lighting.Chennai looked less dense while the highly decorate boats were new thing to view from the plane.I reached chennai at aroung 1 pm ,There was no option to find a hotel room that night so I decided to take a nap in the airport resting seats.The night was quite painful I waked up atleast 10 times during the night.

Next day I went to hotel le Royal Meredian to join the IBM.However I rejected their offer as it was not suitable for me.In chennai the lodges are popular as Manson after 2-3 hrs searching I got a manson named SRK near Saitapet its near the railway .Chennai is very hot ,I am sweating as I type this blog...I will write more tomorrow I plan to visit some places here and return back to Pune by Sunday.

Kathmandu to Pune

I had traveled from Kathmandu in every possible land vehicles in this three days .First Sanga dropped me till the airport in Bike.I had to take the plane because there was a strike in Nepal by yataya byabasayee(The travel professionals union). This was my first domestic flight, It was a small plane with only three seats in a row there was ten rows in total.The flight was for a short duration of 30 minutes.The flight was very interesting I saw a lot part to my home town (Lalitpurt) form air I also managed to see some of my relatives homes,some temples and roads...
Lot of Lalitpur is still farms at the thankot side...
Once I was in the Bhairahawa airport I was quite confused where to go ,then I finally shorted out I should go to sunaul for the day.The taxi was asking for 400 rs form Airport to sunaul but fortunately some other people were also wanting to go there so we shared the fare.
As I reached sunaul I was thinking to stay one more day in Nepal as the train form Gorakhpur was at 12:15 am only.The fare was for 180rs I thought to bargain but then I said its ok,There was also a dormitory available nearby it was cleaner and cost 200 rs but I choose the lodge only.
At the evening I went across the sunaul border to Nautunuwa That place was very mess so I returned in My better side(Nepal) and had some food .Then I bought some packets of wai wai and a half pant and a carry bag.The wai wai and the half pant did a lot good to me later in the train.
Early next morning I took a rikshaw (10Rs) to Nautunuwa there I got a jeep to Gorakhpur (100rs) it took some 3 hrs.In Gorakhpur I had to wait another 3 hrs in the waiting room ,the Chineses mp4 player that I bought earlier helped me pass the time till then.The train was announced delayed by 15 minutes I was in platform 5 ,the train arrived late by around 25 mins,However the AC buggy was locked ,hence I had to pacnic to get it opened...First I thought the train might leave so I went into the general buggy then to the sleeper ...finally the AC buggy was opened ... I entered the buggy in despair ... All in sweats...Then I changed the jeans with the half paints that I bought earlier...
Next day was the train full of children n parents... my mp4 some tea ...Finally we reached mumbai at 12 I got down as Kalyan as suggested by a fellow passanger.In Kalyan I took a ticked to pune(Rs43) then a police officer helped be get a seat inthe general dabba ... He asked me for "chaye pani "in his own words...first I thought not to give but he was asking again again I felt pitty on him and gave him Rs20...Finally after the amazing journey of 3 hrs I reached the Pune Junction.From there I took an auto(rs150) to my friends flat in Pune.
In this way my three day long journey form Kathmandu to Pune ended...I hope you could find it interesting ,may be helpful if you have to travel in future the same path...

It takes me almost two hours to reach the place I work( IBM - ISL ) from the place I live (Warje, Pune). Hence I am trying to put this time into some good use by reading some books. I really find the novels too boring hence I decided to read this book about the science of Reincarnation titled "Comin Back" by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. There is a dialog in the book with the author n I really liked what prof Durkheim said :

Perhaps it makes a difference if a person thinks, "I am the spirit, and I have a body " rather than "I am the body, and I have a soul. "

This book is trying to convey to us that we are not the body but the spirit that never dies .Although this doesn't have real scientific proof its really interesting to read the views written in this book. I shall update more if I find any thing interesting in this book.Till then you can jot in what do you think of prof Durkheim's view and your own view regarding Coming back.
